Upgrade to FCP-Suite or FCP-SE

This document describes how to upgrade an FCP-Core deployment to FCP-Suite or FCP-SE.

tip
  1. After upgrading to FCP-Suite or FCP-SE, management-node alert policies created in FCP-Core are automatically stopped. Other alert policies are retained.

  2. Compared with FCP-Core, FCP-Suite and FCP-SE provide more features. After the License is configured, additional setup is still required to ensure those features work correctly.

Based on the requirements above, the upgrade mainly includes the following steps:

  • Import the FCP-Suite or FCP-SE license
  • Deploy the Monitor service (FCP-Suite and FCP-SE)
  • Install VNC on hosts (Linux nodes) (FCP-Suite and FCP-SE)

Install the Monitor node first by following the Monitor Node Deployment guide, and then continue with the steps below:

Import the FCP-Suite or FCP-SE License

  1. Obtain the machine code.
  • Log in to the platform as the admin user, open the User Menu in the upper-right corner, choose Account Settings, and obtain the machine code on the Account Settings page.

  • Send the machine code to Fastone Sales and request an FCP-Suite or FCP-SE license as needed.

  1. Import the license.
  • After you receive the License file, log in to the platform as the deploy user, click Upgrade to FCP-Suite or FCP-SE, and import the License into the platform.
