Deployment Guide
tip
FCP provides a rich set of architectural services, but not every customer needs every service enabled. Configure only the services required by the customer scenario. For the list of services supported by FCP, see the Platform Planning document.
Basic concepts:
Management nodes include the Core node and the Monitor node.
- Core node: The deployment node for core Fastone platform services. Cluster operation depends on services on this node, such as the built-in LDAP server and SlurmDBD.
- Monitor node: The deployment node for Fastone platform monitoring and alerting services.
FCP-Core Deployment
Deployment steps:
- Core Node Deployment
- Log in to the platform as the
deployuser and import the license by following the procedure in License Restrictions. - Configure the required services according to Platform Planning.
After these steps are complete, deployment of the FCP-Core platform is finished. Next, see the Quick Start guide to begin using the platform.
FCP-Suite or FCP-SE Deployment
Deployment steps:
- Core Node Deployment
- Monitor Node Deployment
- Log in to the platform as the
deployuser and extend the installation by following Upgrade to FCP-Suite or FCP-SE. - Configure the required services according to Platform Planning.
After these steps are complete, deployment of the FCP-Suite or FCP-SE platform is finished. Next, see the Quick Start guide to begin using the platform.
