SSH Login

This guide explains how to use SSH Login in Desktop Portal to access remote nodes through a command-line interface.

Prerequisites

  • You have a Desktop Portal account and are logged in.
  • You have at least one authorized desktop. Contact your administrator if needed.
  • You have desktop read permission and SSH connect/disconnect permission. Contact your administrator if needed.

Connect via WebSSH

  1. Log in to Desktop Portal and open Cloud Workbench from the top navigation bar.

  2. On the Cloud Workbench page, click SSH Login. An SSH window appears and lists your authorized desktops. Select a desktop name and wait a few seconds. Desktop Portal will open an SSH session to a desktop node automatically.

  3. Click Connect. After a successful connection, you will see a command-line terminal. You can run commands, edit files, inspect processes, and perform other operations.
