Home Page Overview

This guide introduces the modules on the Desktop Portal home page to help you get started quickly and use platform resources efficiently.

Important

In FCP, all resources (such as VNC, SSH, Desktop Applications, and more) require authorization before they can be viewed and accessed in Desktop Portal. Contact your administrator to request the required permissions.

Modules on the Home Page​

The home page mainly includes the following modules:

Cloud Workbench​

  • VNC Login: Access remote desktops through a graphical interface, suitable for GUI-based workflows.
  • SSH Login: Access remote nodes through a command-line interface.
  • RDP Login: Access Windows systems via Remote Desktop Protocol, suitable for Windows applications.
  • Task Management: View and manage submitted tasks, including status, progress, logs, and more.
  • Desktop List: View and manage desktops you can access, including desktop name, status, and connection details.
  • File Management: Upload, download, delete, and manage files on remote nodes.
  • Job List: View and manage scheduler-submitted jobs, including status, runtime, and results.
  • Session Management: View and manage active sessions, including protocol, connection time, and resource usage.

Task Submission​

  • Task Templates: Use predefined templates to submit tasks with less manual configuration.

Desktop Applications (Linux)​

  • Application Templates: Launch common Linux applications quickly (for example, Jupyter Notebook, PyCharm, and more).

Desktop Applications (Windows)​

  • Application Templates: Launch common Windows applications quickly (for example, Microsoft Office, Visual Studio, and more).

Personal Center​

  • Change Password: Update your login password.
  • Get SSH Key: Obtain your SSH public key for SSH authentication.
  • Log Out: Sign out of the current session.
