Host group management

On Resource Management > Host Group Management, you can create and view host groups.

Default host group: There is a default default NodeGroup that cannot be deleted. You can configure which users/groups can use it.

Create a host group:

  • A static node can belong to only one host group, so when creating a host group you can select only static nodes that are not already in any group.
  • Limit: up to 1000 static nodes per host group.

Host group usage:

  • Users must have Use permission for the host group of a static node in order to select that static node when creating a cluster or desktop.

  • When selecting static nodes, you can pick nodes from different host groups.

Cluster read/write permissions: Whether a user has host group permissions for the static nodes in a cluster does not affect the cluster's own read/write permissions.
