VNC Login FAQs​

Panel Does Not Appear​

If your VNC session has no panel, delete ~/.config/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml/xfce4-panel.xml, then disconnect and reconnect via VNC.

Adjust VNC Desktop Display Settings​

After connecting via VNC, you can adjust the remote desktop display settings, including fonts, scaling, and resolution:

Adjust fonts and scaling:

  • On the remote desktop, go to Application -> Settings -> Appearance.
  • In the appearance settings, you can adjust font size, scaling, and more.
    • Changing DPI affects overall UI scaling.
    • Changing Default Font size affects font rendering.

Adjust resolution:

  • On the remote desktop, go to Application -> Settings -> Display.
  • In the resolution settings, select an appropriate resolution.
